Thanks Bulldog

I ordered your R/R relocate kit and had it in 4 days! Wonderful!

It went on without a hitch. And the tilting of the battery box was a whole lot better ($) than going out and buying the long drill bits that I would have needed to drill out the screws. I used the dielectric grease that you thoughtfully supplied, but I also used some RTV Silicone to seal up the outside of the connector inside the wire wells and around the connector interface as well.

It looks like this R/R had been replaced before. (I traded my 1985 Gold Wing to the Stealership for this 1995 VN750 straight across. I had 85K miles on the Wing and the VN750 only had 13K. The dealer said that they had to do some electrical work before I could take possesion. Didn't say what. I wonder if they had to replace the stators too? I almost feel guilty.) I would have thought that the R/R would have a Kawasaki logo on it, but it has a label that says "Tour Max". I've only been reading the forum for a short while now, but I don't think I've come across any mention of the "Tour Max" brand. Some feedback on this R/R would be nice.

Anyway, thanks again for a great delivery time and the instruction sheet was right on.

Thank you for the nice comments and review. I like the silicone idea and might modify the directions to include that as a tip.

I've never heard of a "tour max" RR. The OEM regulator is by a company called shinatsu (spelled totally wrong). Post some pictures of it and we might be able to identify it for you.

Here's a couple of pictures of the "Tour Max" R/R (and the final installation of your fine kit). I've learned to be suspicious of all m/c stealerships, so I'm real curious as to just what this R/R really is.

Well, it looks just like a regular OEM Kaw RR. I wonder what is under that UGLY sticker...

Nothing... And I did a Google search, and all it came up with was roller hockey skates and golf stuff...

Oh, well... As long as it keeps working I guess I like it...
