R/R Relocate

So I got my package from Bulldog today and installed it, very easy by the way. Here is my problem/question.....Why is the negative battery cable two sided? Meaning there is two terminals on it....is that everyones? Also there is a small gague black/yellow wire attached to it, what is that? I took out the battery and tried to make sure I remembered where everything went, electronics on a bike are my biggest problem , so I took it all out, installed Bulldog's bracket, put R/R on the footpeg and put it all back together. I thought that I put it all together right so I started it up and got this clicking noise and no start.....weird.....I moved that two-sided negative battery cable a little bit and moved that black/yellow wire around a little...it was really hot! I moved it all around and tried again and it fired up and idle/ran fine. I turned it off moved it off the center stand put it on the kickstand and decided to try and start it again. I must have moved those wires when it came off the centerstand. It was the clicking noise when trying to start again. I wrapped that black/yellow and negative cable in electrical tape and it started fine.....just want to make sure I didn't do anything wrong....I was in the middle of putting it all together and the rain/lightning came pouring down....so I'll have to wait to fiddle with it more.....any help would be great. Thanks!

If I remember correctly, one of the terminals go to the negative battery post and the other one attaches to either the battery box or the frame of the bike as ground. I'll check when I get home tonight.

Just making sure....I'm not talking about the black wire that is on the right side of the battery box (looking down at it), the one you have to take off while your putting your bracket on it....the negative terminal cable is what I'm talking about....just clarifying....

Alright, so the rain/lightening cleared and I got to go out and check it out again. I found where it goes...there is a small bolt on that side of the frame where the other half of the two sided cable goes....it wasn't there before.....but I put it on and fired it up.....man she fires up better than she did before...seems like the bike has more power.....weird....the owner before me put a brand new battery in it the day I bought it....maybe he forgot to connect that ground to the frame....weird....anywho I got it and now I am all relocated.....R/R wise! Thanks Bulldog for the kit and for the help!
