MF Battery and Vent Tube

Quick question, just to make sure I'm clear. I'm picking up an AGM battery tonight, and wanted to make sure I can just take out the battery vent tube. I figure, If the battery is sealed and therefore can't vent, I don't need the tube. Is that right?

Thanks!
Dan

if the new battery has a place to hook up the hose, it's not a maintenance free

Well, now, there's a good point. I was assuming the new battery was an MF AGM, but that may not be the case.

I'm messing with you Cindy, the AGM batteries don't have a place to put the tube. Some low maintenance batteries get sold as maintenance free but aren't.

I'm easily confused...ha ha.

I just read the title to the thread and it's "MF battery and vent tube," so at least I didn't make that up!
