Light bar/Fog lights?

Can anyone recommend an aftermarket light bar w/lights?
I can't seem to find anything, I ordered some Cobras but it turns
out they're only for the V800. Any help greatly appreciated...

I think that most here would recommend not getting additional lights.... as it would put a bigger strain on the stator and cause it an early death.... just a thought.

Unless you go with the (soon to be released) LED tail light, and keep the wattage of the aux. lights pretty low, I agree that it might not be a good idea.

There isn't a lot of extra power being made to add too much in the way of electrical accessories.

Thanks for the input guys, I was hoping to increase my forward visibility.
Guess I'll go with a modulator or something...

There are several who have gone to a different headlight bulb with results they're happy with. Maybe do a search on headlights or one of those who have done it will chime in.

I have a lightbar on my VN750 with 20W halogen bulbs in it. It is nice but a total power hog. I mostly use it when doing highway speed or cruising on open roads at night. Around town and it idle, it will drain your battery.

A better solution would be to go with a higher wattage headlamp. On my VN750, I'm running a 60W/100W bulb and LOVE it. It really lights up the world.

On my Nad, I'm running a 80W/120W headlamp and really LOVE that one. And with my LED's in the rear of the bike, I'm able to run a set of 35W halogen spot's with no problem. But the Nad has a 42A charging system compared to the 21A system on the VN750. Sometimes bigger is better...

Not to hijack the thread, but I saw an 05 nad in a parking lot with a for sale sign on it the other night. Had to turn around and go look at it. Told my wife I just "had to". Even she said it was a beautiful bike. Man those things are sweet. One day... Bulldog, thats my dream bike.

Ok, back to your regularly scheduled program...

I've got a pair of 20 watt lights and I really like the increase in my ability to see when it's dark and raining- and the increase in my visibility from the front. But Evan's right, they really suck juice and when the bike's not at cruising speed it really pulls the system voltage down. My on/off switch is the kickstand switch and I wired it up so that the lights go off when the fan comes on, but if anybody else wants to add similar lights, add a switch so you can turn them off when stuck in traffic. And it wouldn't hurt to hook up the battery charger when you get home.

That's a really good idea. Did you use a normally closed relay to do that?

Ironman & Bulldog could you post pictures of your light bar.. I am planning to get some extra lights up front but not sure how it would look with the stock setup. Depending on how it looks, I may consider either relocating the front turn signals and mounting the lights besides the headlamp or leave the turn signal and use a bracket to mount the lights.
