Caloric stator for the vn750

Has anyone used the caltric stator on eBay? Appreciate any feedback you might have. Wondering why it's only $69.00 for the stator and gasket. Thanks in advance. Tucker

I don't know anything about that, but for the same price you can get a TPE stator, that is is a whole lot better. There isn't a better stator out there for the VN750 than a TPE (Tim Parrot Enterprises). http://www.tpe-usa.com/

Thumbs up

Because it's Chinese.

TPE, made to be the best, made in the US.

Edit: I spoke with Tim at length about his stator work when I had mine re-wound, so I'm confident this is the best stator at any price. And not just because I have one.

By now, the timbering on his property should be winding down, as is bike season, so turnaround should be fairly reasonable. Shoot, it wasn't all that bad in the middle of Spring when he was so busy.

Edit II: When I started looking for a stator, I searched the net. All I kept seeing was statements like... "Another Rick's stator bites the dust!" Post after post condemning the China stators from several resellers. You can find some here about Electrosport, and maybe even Caltric.

Wink

You're welcome.

While I'm talking about Tim...
I recall he said he had been in business together with another stator company owner now located in the northeast. They had differing opinions about what suppliers and materials to use for their stators. Now Tim has his own operation.
