Check the Vulcan Verses/Lights/Headlight (https://www.vn750.com/forum/showthread.php?t=1129-).
I think the 100w is considered to be a high power draw for our systems. A few of us are using the Sylvania Silverstar or equivalent - good lighting, lower draw.

I am using that bulb, I have no problems with it.
I also have a Headlight Modulator so it pulsates, The draw is not as much.

Be careful... not sure on our bikes, but i know in the off roading community (i own a jeep) higher wattage bulbs melt harnesses and cheap headlights... Our headlight is by stanley, so that should be fine, but the harnes may melt. You may wanna look at buying a higher wattage harness and spliting off what you dont need. just my $.02

Make sure the bulb isnt a blue or any other color, they actually remove light....
