What color did you get? Some police get real picky about reds or blues since a lot of states restrict those to emergency vehicles.
My husband installs leds on bikes and I can offer up these few tips. trial mount them so they refect off the chrome but keep them away from the heat sources. Getting them too close to exhaust or on the engine can result in the led housing melting. Usually along the frame are some of the best mounting places, Be sure and check them every so often too because the mounting may need a bit of readjusting or additional glue to make sure they stay in place. Though we don't notice it much our bikes do vibrate and this does have an effect on any mount or connection.

Like Diania said some cops wont like that, The blue light on the tires will look like they flash and a cop in a bad mood can give you hell for that.
Just ride safe and have fun.

i agree, be carefull of your placement of blues....if done right you shouldnt have any issue, but like i said be careful....make sure that your mount is good and i suggest soldering the connection.... other then that vibrations wont do any harm cause leds are not vibration sensitive. i also suggest mounting a small toggle switch somewhere so u can turn them off if need be....

My multi-color lights operate off of a remote. The stationary blues are hooked to a switch. I have the benefit of the fairing for switch placement but another good spot for switches are the neck covers.
A lighted switch is even better because you can tell at a glance that the lights are on especially during the day.

I am thinking of doing some on mine, White on the front, Amber by the Engine and Red by the back wheel.

These lighting systems (LED types) you're talking about are pretty much effective only at night/dawn/dusk conditions...right?
