Aux Light Bar

Does the Vulcan have enough power in the charging system to run an aux light bar with turn signals? I am looking at adding one to my bike. It would be one like this:

Lightbulb

Looks very similar to this one which is half the price, should be able to snag that for $40 since they're on there all the time:

I'd say you can run one, since many people have them, but I'd suggest a voltmeter so you can keep an eye on the charging.

I plan on adding a light bar, but I'm getting an upgraded stator and MOSFET R/R to go with the new AGM battery.

Maybe later I'll upgrade the lights with these:

Not sure about the bulbs in that last one.

Edit: Links disabled now?

Most light bars come with 55 watt bulbs. I replaced mine with 35 watt bulbs. i still get plenty of light.

You shouldn't try running more than 70watts (total) as mentioned, many driving lights are 55w, so that be 110w for two. I used two 20w halogens without problems.

If you are interested in a light bar designed for our particular bike and lights that will not over tax the electrical system be sure to look at the setup offered by KC2DGQ. Go to his signature line and click on to his light bar offering. Also do a search here for several members that have his light bar on their bikes and are very pleased with the whole set up.

and always remember, "Ride until you rot!"

going forward. Five operations done and it still continues.
