Cool Turn signal blink speed

My left turn signal blinks at a constant rate, what I would call normal. My right turn signal blinks at least 3 times faster. This just started in the last few days. The right turn signal used to blink at the same rate as the left one. Anyone have any ideas why ?? Waiting for Ernie the engineer .......

Usually when you have a turn signal blinking faster than normal you have a bulb or partial bulb burned out.
Do a turn signal light check, checking all the lights for running and blinking conditions. (You do do that as a pre-ride check anyway, right?), Stock Front turnsignals are dual filament for running and blinking, rear stock are single filament for blinking only.
The only other condition would be if you had replaced some with LEDs and then you would need a load equalizer, but you didn't mention any recent replacements.

At 6 AM it's dark here so I didn't notice any lights out. Just went out and checked. ALL lights are working. With the motor off I can here the relay clicking faster on the right.

sounds like a short in the relay... try replacing it with a heavy duty flasher they are like 5-10 bucks and should fix your problem

I think Dianna got this one. The only other question - do both turn signals on that side blink fast?

You might try the cheap route first - replace both bulbs on that side. Just in case one is flakey. Then get a new flasher relay. Could be the built in capacitor or resistor is going out. Hard to say.

Both on the left are normal, both on the right are fast. I'll try the bulbs first.

We have teh same problem with Toyotas, the ground tab on the bulb gets week. When you have the bulb out look into the socket and there should be a small metal tab you need to bend out slightley and reintal the bulbs. It is the front bulb on Toyotas, cant say which one it is on the bike.
