Does anyone know if this regulator will work with our bikes.
either my stator is gone or the regulator mabey both. unfortunately i don't have a volt meter. bike runs great but will eventually drain the battery and the bike ends up sometimes stalling wont start unless boosted and runs great again.when running the light stay consitant even when revving. might be able to get the regulator real cheap.

Unless you intend to put it in the shop, I suggest you invest in a Multimeter (Voltmeter). Walmart has one for $20.00, better yet, Sears has a very good one, $40.00 (?).
Look up one of many forum threads, locate "Slim's" Measure/Checksheet, follow/make measurements w/o skipping any steps/measurements.

Extent of the your bike's problem will become clear.
............you may find a faulty / corroded connection.

hope this helps

I am not getting involved wit this one... last time I gave advice, they ended up doing what I told them to do in the first place.. buying a multimeter, then getting a MOSFET R/R... any other R/R and you are just squandering away your pennies. But hey.. that's my opinion... as to will the VN1600 R/R work.. sure as long as it is a 6 pin R/R rated at 30 amps.
