I realize this post is old but it was very helpful and I had to join to say thank you to slimvulcanrider. I was replacing my clutch cable and broke the plunger on the clutch safety switch and the wiring bypass was a life saver. Appreciate your input. (oh yeah, thank you google also) heh heh

My kawasaki has 3 pins for the clutch switch. I don't want to bypass it but the new master cylinder i bought has a 2 prong switch.

Is there a way I can make it work without bypassing the wires? I am using an aftermarket master cylinder and the kawasaki switch doesn't fit on it at all.

Anyone have any ideas on anything i can make or buy?

Durk, try posting at the above link. Our 750s don't have the hydraulic clutch.

Guys, guys, guys!

If you recall your VN750 lore the 1984 VN750 had a hydraulic clutch! This was the VN750 Eve model not available except in Karcoohiestan. Then an enterprising individual produced the cable-operated clutch kit with sideplates, levers and cable. Kawasaki liked it soooo much they bought all the kits and began producing them, installing them on the bike at the factory. Thus was born the 1985 VN750A and subsequent models with cable operated clutch that we know and love today.

BTW, I now have a few limited shares in a bridge in NYC available....
