Question extra wires?

so i was looking around on the bike and i noticed something. down by the battery is 2 wires (1 yellow with black stripe, the other white with blue stripe). the same (in theory) wires are also in the headlight assembly. neither of them seem to have power running to them, so i would assume they are just extra wires to hook stuff up to from the battery to the headlight? i'm trying to hook up a stereo and that is what got me searching in the first place.

- 1998 Vulcan 750
- Black with red
- MCCT conversion

- Stereo with 3.5 inch speakers

- Vance & Hines slash cut pipes
- Custom turn signal bracket
- Arrowhead universal turn signals (rear only)
- Kuryakyn longhorn offset highway pegs
- Suzuki Savage 650 rear shocks (2 inches shorter)
- Lowered front 1.5 inches

Those wires are for hooking up accessories.
The white/blue wire should be hot at all times.
The yellow/black wire is a ground.

Two spare wires under seat near battery

Thanks for this post. Just replaced the battery on my 2006 VN750 after riding it a couple years. Bought off ebay in 2010. Saw those two apparently spare wires and wondered about their purpose.
