Wiring for Tail lights

I have a Vulcan 750 1986, I have modified the back end, this has included relocating the Number plate and light so its now on a side mount and also putting on a new rear tail/brake light.

The problem is that the new tail/brake light has only 2 wires whereas the old one had 3, I have a Black & Yellow wire that can't go to anywhere on the light unit.

Has anyone else come accross this?
What should I do?

Ride Safe

Sounds like your new light is a single filiment bulb, hot& ground. The kawa is a 2 filiment for stop& running, so 3 wires, 2 hot and 1 ground.

04-3,200 miles bought July 2011 with 928 miles. Loaded with acessories to many to list here, see my albums for more details! I also make a custom tank bib specific for the 750 if anyone is interested, ck my albums for some pics.

Yes, your new tail light is just a tail light. Not a tail/brake light. Take it back and get one that has three wires for duel filament bulbs, or duel bulbs.
