Best location for driving lights?

Was thinking of picking up a pair of driving lights to add to the headlight, but wondering where to install them. Note I don't have a light bar or highway bars to attach them to. Could I install them on the forks down by the calipers, or higher up by the headlight? I was thinking if I get some round point-style lights then down by the wheel would be more advantageous, but what do you think?

Lower would be better, only problem is they would not be included in the suspension block and would be subject to more shock from bumps and such.

I made a bar (see Driving Lights album in link below) from parts I got at Lowes. You can pretty much bolt them to anything solid on the bike, I'd just avoid getting them too close to the headlight or turn signals.

I suggest you mount them facing forward...somewhere in front of the

Sorry!..couldn't resist

There are lots of options for mounting them depending on your setup and accessories installed already.
Search the forum for ideas...there are quite a few out there.
