Need Help on Electrical for 1987 Kawasaki Vulcan 750

I have a 1987 Kawasaki Vulcan 750 that will not stay running when I unplug the battery. I have put a new stator/rotor, voltage regulator, new battery and fuse box. It still will not stay running or charge when I disconnect the battery..does anyone have any other suggestions?

Don't unplug the battery the bike runs off the battery and you may be damaging your charging system,Why are you doing this ? Is the battery dead?

How do you test it to make sure the new stator/rotor is charging the battery?

Use a muti meter to test battery charge. Put leads to the battery and run the bike at 4000 to4500rpm should get 14 to almost 15 volts. Ma need some one to help with the test to work the gas though.

Chargiging System Trouble Shooting Flow Chart fallow the link in the first post... it tells you step by step how to check the charging system and what the values for each test should be. I hope you didn't fry your Junction Box, Ignition Control Box or stator by unhooking your battery.
