It's a definite NO. I have an old pair of Widder electric gloves I use, but I'm pretty sure they max out the electrical system. I have installed an off switch on the headlight high beam, to free up a little more power. I used to have a voltmeter taped to the handlebars and connected directly to the battery. I did not notice a voltage drop when I used the gloves, but a few more watts and I probably would have. Since my charging system now has 70,000+ miles on it, I plan to install a permanent voltmeter somewhere. I installed one in the fairing of my Goldwing. Unlike the Vulcan, it's stator puts out too much current, and tends to fry the R/R and wiring to the R/R. I carry a roll of wire and a spare R/R with me.
I am a motorcyclist, NOT a biker.
