alright, went out tonight and tried my hand at troubleshooting my r/r and stator. Wish I had Microsoft Word at home so I could draw a table similar to the one on page 295 of the Clymer manual.
I'll try my best to show my results. I set my multimeter at 20kohms. From the table, going horizontally beginning with
B I get 0, 1, 16.28 and A1(6.54) A2(6.25) A3(6.15)
M I get 1, 0, 8.74, and 1 for A1-A3
G I get 1, 1, 0 and 1 for A1-A3
A1-3 I get 1 across the board for the first and 2nd column, A1(6.43), A2(6.39, A3 6.38, and the last column zeroes across the board.
For the stator I turned the switch on the multimeter to the continuity setting (the diode picture) and get continuity across all 3 yellow wires at the stator end leading to the stator. Then I set it at 200k ohms and got 1 for each of the stator end yellow wires with the positive multimeter wire connected to each yellow wire and the black to a ground on the bike.
My multimeter never showed the infinity symbol in the r/r tests.
