volt monitor hook up idea

I have an idea of how i would like to hook up a voltage monitor, the LED type. But not sure if its feasable. Maybe someone could chime in here. Im thinking mounting the LED through the face (not the glass) of the TACH or the Speedometer, however I have never taken one of these apart and dont know if its even possible being I would have to drill a small hole in the face. Any thoughts?

Consider posts 1 & 3 here. just to the left of fuel gauge.

Very slick Doc. I wish I had done that rather than the analog I mounted between the gauges. Mine looks good, but yours exudes elegance and sophistication.

Ratt,
Nice compliment...thanks

Many here will argue accuracy/functionality for this solution, but I'm not convinced.

Thanks again

I thought of doing that when I was looking for a place to mount my VM, but went with the same general location on the dash instead.
