Wet spark plugs

So recently my bike stopped starting. No biggie; I'm putting it through a huge maintenance overhaul so I figured I'd get to it.

Today I pulled the plugs and found that the right side one in my front cylinder was wet with gasoline. Left side dry. Both smelled of gas.

I dried off the spark plug, threw her in and the bike started right up.

My question is this: why is there gasoline getting to my spark plugs, how do I stop it and is it a symptom of a bigger, more difficult problem?

Not really enough info here. The plugs may just be wet from you attempts at starting the bike and have no connection to why it stopped in the first place.

Do you have an AGM battery? How long has the bike sat since it did not start?

If the bike starts now and runs fine, not sure there is a problem.....
