tonight was the first time I got to drive it at night, what a difference, almost takes a little gettin used to, but it takes a lot of gettin used to when it goes out, thank god the lowbeam still worked. and why is the halogen on the high beam setting, are yours like this too?

This quote is from Ron/lance on the original *HID or lightbar* thread.
Quote:
I have had the above kit for almost two years and I would never go back to Halogen. The reason I bought the kit is because it has two seperate elements instead of one, Halogen low HID High. I swapped the terminals @ the H/L plug so I have H.I.D. Low and Halogen High.

This system is great with our Reserve Lighting Unit and can still switch beams if one fails, other HID systems use a sliding projector for High and Low from the same bulb and if it fails your screwed.

Judging from Ron`s statement you can use the HID in either hi or lo beam by switching the terminals at the headlight plug.

Have you checked all the connections? It's possible one connection might not be good. There is also a possibility the transformer is over heating & shutting down, cool off & work again. I know with neon we use where I work their transformers have a built in saftey that causes them to shut of if something is out of wack. You might want to contact the manufcturer on this aswell.

Never had a problem with mine....... I guess I would check all the connections first. I also have the HID on the low beam.... seems fine to me.
