Space behind cluster?

Just so I don't have to take the cluster apart to find out, does anybody know how much play room there is behind the cluster? Particularly in the space between the key and lights?

again...no...its blow molded plastic... maybe if you were to make a new circuit board and use LED lights for the idiot lights, then yes..but its not just a simple thing...what are you trying to do exactly?

Adding an indicator light of my own. Ideally, it's about the same size as any one the others, just about an inch or so deep. I figured if there was enough empty space I would be able to cut my way through the two levels but if there's circuitry in the way I won't bother.

no, no circuitry, just plastic and wires... there is enough room for a bulb in the middle around the fuel gauge area.
