Another one bites the dust (Stator)

My stator is dying, it left me stranded today. I ordered a new heavy duty stator capable of 30 amps and new rm amplifier (just in case). 2 days ago I purchased a AGM battery. I also ordered a starter rebuild kit for it. After that my bike should be in perfect condition.

Who did you order the new stator from? I think I'm going to replace mine this spring, and I am going to get a new Gel battery this week.
Thanks.

The best stators are the ones from Tim Perrot. He takes the OEM stator and rebuilds it to better than factory specs (better wire, etc.). The beauty is it only costs around $70 plus shipping! Go to ebay and buy one of his rebuilds at a discount. http://www.tpe-usa.com/

I'm keepin' all the left over parts. I'm gonna use 'em to build another bike!

That's where I sent my stator to. If you have an extra old (oem) stator, he'll even give you a discount for it.

300 amp or 30 amps? Ma Kawi`s OEM stator is 24 amps output IIRC.
A Heavy Duty alternator on a taxi or police cruiser is less than 300 amps I think.
The one on my 3.8 L Oldsmobile V6 is somewhere between 105-120 amps.

If you or any one has a core they no longer need just email me i like to buy. thanks to you and all members of vn 750.com
