Where is the...?

Where's the starter lockout switch? Still fighting with the wiring to get the bike to start...

I put the key to "on" and the neutral light lights up on the dashboard, but when I press the start button nothing happens. I already cleaned up the button itself, so it should be working right.

While looking at wiring diagrams, I noticed the "starter lockout switch" and I don't know what that one is... is it, by any chance, the one that makes you have to press the clutch to turn on the bike? Where is it? What does it look like?

Thanks guys.

The wiring diagram I am looking at has "pulled in" and a "released" position on the starter lock out. That would indicate to me that it is the safety switch on the clutch lever.

When you pull the clutch lever in, you should be able to see a spring loaded finger or button slide out near the pivot.

I went to a track day with a friend not long ago and he had trouble getting his bike to start after one of the sessions. I know I'm stating the obvious but after trying to jump start it, thinking the battery was dead, he dug further and found out his kill switch had failed in the off position. Just sayin, just in case.

I'll look at it again, just in case... I only inspected it and looked ok, but I'll try bypassing it and see if anything changes. Thanks for the tip!

There is also a switch on the side stand. Try wd on it and work it.
