Cool how do you test the charging system parts!?!?

my bike doesnt seem to be charging at all and i wanna figure out why. someone please post up whatever testing charts/diagrams you may have! thanks alot

Hey man, im not an electrical expert but with the help of the fine people on this site, i was able to check my stator. Had a wire meltdown and started this thread.

The entry from Denny has the info on stator testing. as far as the regulator, just check the voltage at the battery terminals at idle, then rev it up around 3000 rpm and check for about 14 volts. if you get it, you should be good. Any electrical guru can correct me if i am wrong.

ok my stator is good but i am not seeing how to test the Regulator and recitfier... anyone have info on how to do this??
