Harness chaffing at headlight

Had a harness chaffing through the plastic insulation (not all the way through yet) right where it goes through the headlight case. Easy fix now, but I imagine , a nightmare if it would have went through some wires. Easy to check also.

ur lucky you found it...that may have burned up your system. What i would do if i was you is splice the wires at the damaged part and put shrink wrap insualtion on the splice point. u put a small shrink wrap on the splice and is should be fairly close to the size of the insulation, then you do a second to seal up the whole thing. that will make sure it's water tight. and to prevent future chaffing, you can hit up ur local electrical store and get some spiral wrap for those wires. I've found it works pretty well... also look for any burs on the headlight housing and file or cut them off.....

hope that helps
