tail light problems

I have no rear tail or license plate lights. I have blinkers but no running lights. Previously I had water get into my left front and right rear blinker assembly.
Now my "strange" delima I have two different type bulbs in my rears as I do my fronts. the fronts are dual element bulbs the rears are single elements. Is this correct? also any ideas as to why I have no running lights or license plate lights but have blinkers? What are your bulb part numbers? I am stumped on this one my clymer manual desn't address this that I can find.

I appreciate any help

The fronts are running lights and blinkers, the rears are just blinkers. That's normal.
Does your brake light work? if yes, ya just need a new bulb to get the tail/license light working.
If not, ya may have a bad connection in the wiring.

Could you put two-element lights in the rear and have running lights as well as blinkers?

If your marker lights in the rear have 3 wires coming from them, they have been converted over to running/blinker lights if only 2 wires they do not light up when the key is on, only blink which is normal. I will look and see what the numbers are for the brake lights and plate light and let you know. Someone may chime in as well but if you have the bulbs, just take them to a parts store and they can fix you up.

One thing you can do is pull your seat off and find the brake/marker light and plate light wires and test where they connect for power. If you have power at the connection under the seat then try new bulbs and cleaning the sockets. They may have corrosion in them.

That is what's bad is I start to doubt myself but I can almost swear they light up with the key on. However when I start thinking I can't remember I know the bulbs are single element and I dont believe the double element will fit the socket grooves. I don't know how they would be on with the key and blink with a single element. So now I question myself wheather they were actually on with the key I'll check the wires when I get home, at work now. Does anyone have the bulb part numbers so I can confirm my bulbs are correct in case a gremlin came in and swaped them out on me
