I feel like an idiot

Morning everyone, Apparently the stupid bug bit me yesterday.

I got up this morning and got ready to ride into work on the bike as I alway do every morning, only to find that my key was not in my vest pocket. I began to search everywhere for it, the last place being in the bike and guess what.......that's right! There it sat in the ignition in the on position. I guess I got in such a hurry yesterday to get the little one out of the car so my fiancÚ could get back to work, that I left the key in the ignition and didn't even turn it off. I hit the kill switch so that's what shut the bike down.

Well, obviously with the bike sitting on on the rest of the day and all night long, the battery is dead as a doornail and now I can't get to work until it charges.

I feel like a complete dumbass lol

Did the same thing the morning before I was supposed to go ride with a friend of mine. He rode an hour to my house to ride with me only to find out when he got to the house that I had left the key on and the battery was dead. An hour later, after the battery charged, we got to go on that ride.

Mom, I'm not wearing my helmet only for the purpose of taking this picture and
the background was digitally blurred to make it look like I'm going really fast.

Sorry to hear the battery died. Think of the bright side. At least nobody could drive the bike away since the key was left in the bike. We can call it Theft Preventative Maintenance.

Well I finally got the battery recharged a few hours ago. Took 11hrs to recharge. I will definitely not do that again. Good thing I live in a fairly decent apartment complex and no one walked by and thought to try and steal the bike.

Me too, lol. I try to stick mine in the tool box lock to prevent that from happening. I'm always in there before and after every ride for my wallet etc. anyway. Since I park it in my garage I don't have to worry about someone making off with it. Well, heck, now that I've said that someone will steal it out of my garage. I know, I'll leave my keys in the truck to distract 'em. No wait, what if there's two of 'em.... or one of 'em with a ramp? Crap!
