Bench testing Stator

I am wondering. Is there a way to bench test a stator? I have one that is used that I had taken out previously and want to test it. I discovered that the problem was the ground on the R/R.

you can check from each lead to the frame of the stator for continuity and make sure it is not grounded and check between the leads and make sure the resistance is the same on all Phases and look it over good for cracks and burned places in the epoxy coating .But if I had one in my hand I would send it to Tim Parrot at TPE and have him do the heavy duty rewind that uses better wire and puts out more than a factory stator and know I was set,and the good thing is his rebuilt upgrade stator rewind is cheaper than aftermarket.

If you see it on my bike I did it
