Ignition switch stripdown

Greetings to one'n'all

On the advice from a couple of the other members, I'm about to take the ignition switch apart. Does anyone have a diagram or photo of the inside to show what the springs etc should look like?

I took apart the controller off of a washing machine once and since then have a physical aversion to springs & balls in switches!!!

Or is it so simple that even a numpty can do it?

Regards to all,
Martin

Martin here is a link to Crobins photos of a teardown she did a year or so ago, of the cylinder lock and ignition switch.

https://www.vn750.com/forum/showthread.php?t=8998

There is a link in there to Diannas text description of getting inside the electrical switch to check wiring soldered to contacts, and cleaning contacts, etc.

There is also a link to global reckons 4 photos of the dismantled electrical switch, soldering, wires, dielectrical grease usage, etc.

I hope this helps.
