Truck cab clearance lights as tail lights?

Anyone tried using truck cab clearance lights are "blister" turn signals? Im thinking about trying it , but not sure if will be seen as well as not changing them. I want a more streamline look.

They won't be as bright as blinker bulbs (27 watt) but they will work.

I've purchased several LED clearance and stop/tail/turn from truck stops for my bikes.

i was going to shoot for LED clearance lights front and back. my problems are
1. im wondering if they are bright enough to be seen in front and on the sides.
2. how i will make them be running lights AND turn signals.

MOST (not all) LED's are not as visible from the sides. LED lamps are directional: they're bright where you point them.

I used them as turn signals on mine. They work fine. Way brighter than the stock turn signals.

A pic will surely help as most have taken pics from head on. You should still have some side visability as the lens refrects the light going through it. Hence lighting it up. What would really help is a short video, that way you could see it as signal & marker at the same timeIt would be interesting to see a stock to led comparison from the side.

I bought some surplus LED lights with 1157 bases. They have 12 LEDs alternating between pointing straight back, and around the circumference. Just to check it out, I replaced one incandescent bulb with the LED, and had my wife apply the brake while I checked from 30 feet to the back and sides. It is noticeably brighter and redder from both the back and side. The incandescent bulb now looks orange in comparison.
