oversized battery for vn750?

Just wondering if anybody has made a mod to his/her vulcan so that it can accept a larger battery. Where I live the original size mf battery is not available; but larger ones are on the market (150mm instead of 133mm). If anyone had the some problem, how did you solve it ?

From what folks are telling me on here, a bigger battery will work fine. The battery box is removable, I'm not sure how much room there is to spare in order to put a larger one in it's place. I'm having charging issues and still want to ride out the fall weather so I'm using my battery for my trolling motor! I have a box bolted to the luggage rack with the battery strapped in. It doesn't look as hideous as it sounds [big grin]

Awhile back, Hizzo3 made a larger battery case to put inplace of the stock one to hold a larger battery, which I believe was for a BMW. IIRC, it was a tight fit, but he got it in there.
It was THIS battery.
