Is this battery good?

I called my local Batteries-Plus today and asked for the part number of the Yuasa Battery YXT14AHL-BS. This is what they said they had - and I guess what came up after giving the part number.

http://www.batteriesplus.com/p-34344...t-battery.aspx

I am not 100% sure this is the one they have - just the closest I found modelwise on their site and assuming it is as it is the price they told me on the phone.

Anyway my question is - is it a good one? Will it suffice compared to the Yuasa?

Appreciate the feedback soon as I will want to pick it up here in a bit.
Thanks

If you want a chineese copy, below is a link for a battery that is made in the USA and is better than Yuasa. It says 190 CCA but they changed it in september to 210 CCA.

It's not a Yuasa, I had one good one, and one bad one. I would opt for another choice.

The Yuasa battery - actually YTX... rather than YXT - has 14 Amp-hours of life and 190 cold cranking amps. The one that batteries-plus found is similar but has 12 Ah and 205 cca.

I'm no battery expert but this is my take... The Ah isn't going to come into play unless you're idling for too long or if you're having trouble starting your bike. Normally, the stator will keep the battery charged and the Ah won't come into play. The CCA are important when starting your bike - especially when cold. If you live in a very cold climate, I'd think you'd want the extra CCA. Otherwise, it's a wash.

I maybe wrong.....but I believe Deka and Big Crank are made by the same company. even if I'm wrong, they're still both made in the U.S.A.!!!!

I called on the Big Crank Battery today - This one here http://www.batterymart.com/p-Big-Cra...L-Battery.html to verify the CCA was 190. The guy said it was 190. I have read I want more like 210. Should I find a different one with more CCA or just get this one. I do have hot start issues.

Would love a link to an affordable 210cca if you think I would be better off - I am ready to get one toay - Thanks.

If you buy the Deka it has 210 CCA and it says it on the battery, The Ebay link above has the new stock batteries. I have bought three from him in the past four month, from MD to GA took only three days. Deka does not have the standard lug post, it has molded lugs for two bolts per terminal.

DEKA ETX15L SPECS.
