Understanding Electical Systems

Checked the verses - seeing if there's anything more basic...

Can anyone suggest a good reference for beginning to understand electrical circuits? Something that may be more useful with biking? I have a feeling I need to get savvy with it - seems I have something sucking my battery and a headlight and gas gauge with a mind all their own.

Try starting with THIS SITE. It will go over motorcycle charging systems. I found it quite informative. But this is only one aspect of the full electrical system.

Yea - I printed this out - it's great... But it still uses terms and what not - I was thinking something even more basic. But yea - an awesome find for sure.

Electricity flows much the same as water. You garden hose is like a wire. The nozzle like a switch. A water pressure regulator is much the same as a voltage regulator. With water and electricity there must be a source and an outlet. I hope that helps you to understand the basics.
