I have a diagram that I copied here that I`m working from, but have not as yet actually hooked a relay up. A standard 4 terminal relay should have a number beside each terminal.
#30 should be a red lead (at least 16 gauge wire I think) with a 20 amp fuse and holder installed, going to the battery positive post.
# 87- continue 16 gauge red wire to compressor positve terminal.
From compressor negitive terminal run a 16 gauge black wire to a good frame ground.
# 85 and 86 are connected to the trigger wires coming from the horn switch.

When the the horn switch is pressed, and the #85-86 circuit is closed, you should hear a click as that switch closes the circuit between the Battery and compressor. I hope this is right and helps you.

ok, ive figured it out and got it working right. i guess thats what the wiring diagram is for...lol

but seriosly, if enyone is getting this horn, do not get the prewired plug and play kit, its useless. all i needed was the relay, fuse, red wire. and about a foot of the black ground wire. the rest is going into my scrap wire bin for other uses.

ill get pics in awhile and get a sound bite after i get my bike back together.

I totally agree man! Do not buy the plug in play kit...waste of money and time...i still wound up making trips to get wire and connectors....I appreciate all of your input on what wire goes where...etc....it totally helped!

Stebel Air Horn

Here is how I mounted mine. Made a very simple L bracket, drilled a hole in each side, mounted it to the bike first then the horn to the bracket. Holds tight and looks great. It's mounted on the screw that holds the left air cleaner housing.

Mine isn't the Stebel, it is the Bad Boy.

In the pic you can see I mounted mine on the neck cover, just in front of the tank above the air filter box (ear).
