Ignition wires

Hi i got a vn750 that after some trial and error got running but heres my dilemma, the previous owner had lost the key and had the notion to bust the ignition switch. I've got it taped up when im starting the bike but i dont want to ride it like that due to it shutting off on me so i want to know which wires go together so i can throw a switch on them or maybe i need two switches its an 86 vn750 my wire colors are

red, blue, yellow, white, white withblack stripe, brown with white stripe, orange with green stripe,

any help will be greatly appreciated.the wiring diagram off the internet doesnt have all the colored wires i have on my bike.please help

Heya, Bayjones.
An ignition switch to toggle switch conversion was discussed in this thread, with specific wires listed in comment 13.

Might be worth asking Harmonica Bob if it worked out well for him since my suggestion was based on the schematic only, and we never got a 'it worked' confirmation.
Good luck, and let us know how it goes!

I'm pretty sure this is how I wired my bike, but that was probably 8 or 9 year's ago and my brain is the consistency of a good batch of shrimp gumbo...
