Dynatek Coil Install
In the middle of fixing some electrical issues recently (see my signature), I installed a set of DC4-1 Dynatek ignition coils. The install went pretty smoothly considering they are oriented differently from the originals. The outputs are angled and the mounts are 90 degrees off. The rear coil went right in without touching the exhaust heat shield. The front would not fit under the plastic cover in front of the tank, so I bent the mounts outward and forward to give some clearance. The cover will put pressure on the spark plug boot if you bolt it up, which is probably fine in the long run. If you prefer to not go this route you could add a 3/8” spacer to the front mounting bolt for the plastic cover.
I bought mine from atvgalaxy on eBay. This is the fourth set of coils I’ve bought from them, no issues so far.
