Hole in electrode?

Pulled my spark plugs an dropped new ones. My question is about the old ones, there nd x22ep-u9 and the back right plug has a hole in the electrode but the back left wasn’t like that just normal used plug look. We’re these the right plugs? Just a weak spot? When I got it the right baffle was gone, idk if that has anything to do with it but just curious to know.

Can't make it out. Is something burned/melted or just some of the porcelain cracked away?

Cracked porcelain can happen on it's own, but burns mean running too lean, too hot, or with over-advanced timing ... usually all occurring with full throttle and high rpm.

rdit: the threads are looking a bit stressed, maybe some Nev'r Seize to help them out.

Mabey alittle clearer. It almost looks like it’s melted. Also other plug on same cylinder

First test start I was jumping it off sprayed some either in it and it backfired through intake. Pretty fire ball and sounded like a shotgun. Tried it again and it ran on the ether with no problem. Kinda funny.

Does look melted, but maybe has been run quite a bit since it happened? I'd guess it was lean and detonating, preignition.

One backfire while cranking wouldn't do that.

Don't think you could do that even revving high in neutral. Most likely lean and close to full throttle under load. Maybe had a dirty carb. Are the pipes extra blue?

I bought it and the past two owners just wanted it too tear apart an make four wheelers and crap out of it. So I have no idea of the history on it when it was on the road. All I know is it’s a 86 with 1500 miles and it did not have air filters and missing a baffle. Mabey a key factor if they did run without them. Kinda scares me on what that would do the the carb/engine

It wouldn't hurt the carbs, but if you're melting spark plugs, pistons can melt soon after.

If it's running on both cylinders and not smoking, I wouldn't worry. But check the spark plug color on that cylinder after some riding. Also watch coolant temp, that's usually the first sign of running lean.

Running with no air filters could also make it lean. So they may have gotten it started, went for a big rip at full throttle, and toasted those plugs.
