Battery connection difficulties

Has anyone else had a problem getting the battery bolt to connect to the nut? I feel like I have to Macgyver some contraction to raise the nut up a little to meet the bolt while trying to hold all the tools in a tight working space. Is there a component you can buy that will raise the nut and hold it in place?

Here’s a tip I read somewhere. Place a short piece of plastic tubing under the battery nut to hold it in place while screwing in from the top of the terminal. It helped me.

Paper, cardboard, tape, cigarette butt...

It's a pain when they do that. I like the ones with a captive nut, must be too expensive, don't see them much lately.
