Thanks for that Electrex World video Knifemaker! I had purchased the same extractor picks as posted by Paulywog but the spade terminals don't have the tabs as illustrated by Spockster so I spent a few sessions being frustrated not being able to remove the terminals, using various pick profiles. I even shone a light into the connector block in an attempt to suss out the problem.

After googling this discussion and watching the Electrex World video (second one posted by Knifemaker), I realized that the plastic protrusions inside the connector block were there for more than show. I found a small standard screwdriver and had the terminal out of the connector block in a flash! Now I can implement the hazard light mod I am planning, using the bike's turn signal control unit by rerouting power through the junction box.
