Really....??

Got that new Stator in there ...no issues BUT hooked up wiring like I figured, now have NOTHING at the key/ignition!!Those three yellow wires go straight from the Stator to the three yellow wires on the "plug" on the Rectifier...read in the Forum that this was good to bypass some "box" somewhere(??)'Course brown wire from harness to brown to plug on Rectifier, white to white...black/yellow to black/yellow.Wondering if the three yellow Stator wires NEED to go into the harness??In the pic you can see the three original yellow wires from the harness hanging there...hooked to nothing.Dont understand why they would need to go through key/ignition/harness???Maybe it didn't help that I heard a slight "Bzzz..." when couple wires touched, before I thought to unhook battery!!

Stator needs to be wired to the original location unless you're upgrading the Regulator/Rectifier (R/R) with a new one (sometimes called a MOSFET or Series R/R upgrade on the forums)

Unless you've bought a MOSFET/Series-style R/R for your bike, you should wire it like the factory had it. The only bypass the stator has anything to do with is the blue wire mod, which can be done with the original or aftermarket R/R and stator.

Thanks!!So the Stator wires DO have to go "original"??Gosh you would not think that would affect power to the key/ignition...but I'll give it a shot.(Was thinking fuse...??)

check your fuses too if you accidentally shorted something and heard a pop before you disconnected the battery.

the stator wouldn't normally affect the starting but it looks like you cut a few different wires, not just the ones that feed the stator to the RR, but I'm not sure

Saw this another thread..."Now look @ about the one o'clock position, u will see a wire harness coming out of the stator area.
That is 3 stator wires and your magnetic pick-up coil wires.
That harness is routed down under the engine...with 3 wires going to R/R (Regulator/Rectifier)." See....??Confusing 'cause this guy says three yellow wires from Stator go to Rectifier.

The three yellow wires always go from the stator to the rectifier. They don't go through the junction box or the ignition. Maybe in the stock setup they disappear in to the harness wrapping, but they pop right back out again at the rectifier plug. There is a 'T' from one random yellow leg that goes to the junction box to turn on the headlight when the bike starts, but you can do the blue wire mod as mentioned in order to get your headlight on without the stator being involved.

I'm really confused by your picture. You have six cut ends of yellow wires hanging around. Are the ones on the bottom going to an old, now unused rectifier still strapped under the battery? What are the wires in the upper left corner?

Went out first thing ran wires like Uber said, back into the harness....so now Stator hooked to those three yellows that were dangling in top of pic.Rectifier hooked to those three that were dangling in bottom of pic....so according to Thorn I probably am going thru the "disappearing" wires in harness coming back out to Rectifier.Basically what I had already done!LOL!Good news that "Bzzz…" was 30amp fuse!!Bike started ok after sitting for 2 months.
