daffy, cut the end of the hose off at a 45* angle before pushing it back in the right ear.
I've been thinking about this simple instruction we give to eliminate bottoming out the carb vent hose. Correct me if I'm wrong, but the 45 degree angle cut would only be effective if the cut is aligned with the slot in the ear clamp, right? If the cut is placed opposite the slot, and the hose bottoms out, venting is still obstructed right?
