Thanks to Mcneuby I am an owner of a new to me engine guard. Now I just need suggestions for good pair of highway pegs.

If you're looking for something inexpensive - I have a set similar to these. Hardly used them.

If you're interested send me a PM.

hiway pegs

IF the angel guy doesn't want your highway pegs I'd be interested in a price shipped.

Can they be used without an engine guard (not sure on that clamping size)?

2002 vn750
AGM battery, Shinko 230 tires oversized front
Ear shaved - k&n pods, drilled clutch basket
MCCT
40/138 jetting

If I can split a case and make it work - you can too!

They will fit 1" and 1-1/4" bars.

Not sure if you could mount them directly to the frame if that's what you're asking (also not sure that you couldn't). I had mine on an engine guard.

My response to your request for suggestions on highway pegs is...whatever you like. I must have spent a couple hours a few nights ago shopping for pegs. The picture is what I finally settled on and ordered. It was the last set I looked at, and the heel rest was the clincher. FYI: The VN750 engine guard is 1" diameter, so keep that in mind when you're looking.

I just messaged Slim, Drew. I picked them up (new) on eBay for $90 w/ free shipping. Like I was telling Slim, just search eBay or Google for "highway pegs heel rest", and you'll come up with some options. The pair in my picture is ranging online upwards of $200! Deals can be found if one's patient. I'm hoping to get them installed in the next few days, and will post some pics. My problem with the standard foot pegs are that they are too far back, and so I'm riding with my knees bent. Instinctively, I wanted to stretch out my legs from the first time I rode her, and this seemed the better solution for me.
