Selling

I am looking to sell my '94 vn750. I haven't ridden it in several years due to not having the time and needing to carry more than one passenger. It is currently not running and I suspect the float valve needles in the carburetor need replacing. I've recently tried to put some work into it to get it going again but haven't had a lot of time to devote to it so just need to sell as is. We are moving soon so need to sell in the next couple weeks. I am located on Chattanooga, TN. Please let me know if you are interested.

Good luck but be warned that people here get concerned and nervous when someone joins the forum and their first posting is to sell their machine. At least you are stating that it is not a running bike at this time. Too bad your time is short to sell as the price people are willing to pay is very low for a nonrunning machine vs. a running one. There have been some tense situations with first time posters/sellers in the past.

You'll only get bothered by people that need to mind their own business.

Good luck with the sale regardless.

Send me a private message, I'm in Chattanooga. I have 3 bikes and build them from scratch so a donor parts bike would be good.

Or maybe by people who might actually look out for other active members here.a few of them do still exist.ah bit who wants to be bothered with caring and looking out for others(which,by the way IS my business) when no one gives a rat's ass anyway.so I'll sit back and shut up.but don't complain when this place turns into Craig's list

Naw, they just need to mind their own business.

When people are trying to sell things in every sub forum, you can say it's turning into CL. But it's a Sell and Swap section here... come on.

Thanks everyone for your replies. I figured since I owned a vn750 someone here would at least know someone in my area that might be interested. Not sure how to put your minds at ease that I'm not a scammer. It's been a good bike but needs some love. I've put around 30k miles on it and I got it with about 6k. I'm the third owner according to the fellow I bought it from and have done a couple of the recommended mods. I don't know the names for them but I moved the regulator rectifier out from under the battery and mounted it on the frame by the rear tire. I also put fuses in line with the the yellow wires from the stator. The tires are fairly new, there are a few scuffed places on the tank and left side breather cover, and I'm pretty sure the carburetor is what's keeping it from running. I can take pictures if it would help, but I'd like to get something out of it.

Really not sure what you're trying to say as you are skirting the real issue and avoiding any direct comments as to your concerns. If you are referring to my post then please realize I did not say the OP was wrong and pointed out his honesty as to the condition. I gave a heads up that we have had a problem or two in the past which is for the OP and those that may be newbies here on the forum.

Doc's words were very true that some of us do care for the other members here so what does that tell you about those in a different category? They just don't care about anyone and there is no brotherhood concept for them.

I do agree with you that all should mind their own business but I will add that caring about fellow members is the business of all true members. You have the choice to be in any category you wish.
