I did a quick search on ebay - saw several for under $20.

EDIT: bikebandit shows them at $28

I just replaced my throttle and return cables yesterday. I got mine from Babbits online for $28 and change. They shipped it 3 day priority mail.

All in all not too bad. Reasonable price and reasonable ship time.

Doc, I know you've rebuilt a few bikes do I've got a question... my vn750 has been sitting for 2 years... it had a hesitation when I decided to stop messing with it.

I'm torn between fixing it up and selling it, or selling it as is... or fixing it up and keeping it. I LOVE the 750s.

I need mostly cosmetic stuff to start with, bars, speedo cluster and such. Should I buy and replace those or just let it go dirt cheap as is?

They might not be as crusty as you think.try cleaning them up to see what they look like.I had a friend comment once that I was the only person he knows that can put a bike together that looks like I've been riding it for ten years.it all depends on the $$$ and time you want to invest.

Do you have any pics how she looks now?how much sentiment do you have in her?if you fix it to sell it you might not get much back outta her.how about customization time?lower her, paint her, etc.lotsa options.if you've got a good solid base to start with, the sky is the limit.how are your mechanical skills?if you are comfortable I'd say fix her and make her your own.you have the biggest collection of knowledge of the vn750 right here at your fingertips and enough of us knuckleheads to try to pull ya out of a jam if ya need it.
