Anyone breaking apart a Vulcan 88 (1500)

I like the look of the 1988 model 88's dash assembly so I'm looking for the speedo (kmh version preferred), dash assembly to graft on to to my 750 - also the fuel pump and all associated wires, hoses right up to the carbs.

Cheers

Check eBay; parts come up there from time to time. MOF, I've bought a bunch for my '93 basket case 1500A (Vulcan88), including a titled frame from an '88 model.

I've found bucket loads of stuff on eBay, BUT a lot of the sellers will only post to the USA. I will give this guy 'dgarner23' (think that's his eBay ID) a shout out, I grabbed a thermo housing, with thermo and and temp sensor in excellent condition for 99c and he had no probs sending to Oz for 18 bux.

The temp sensor was all I really wanted as a replacement here is 50+ bux, so bargain city there.

Cheers

Something else you might want to do, Carl, is go here:

http://www.vroc.org/

and join VROC, then go here:

http://www.vroc.org/webforum.html

Scroll down to Local VROC Groups; the first one is:

Down Under VROC
VROC members in New Zealand and Australia

Introduce yourself and post your question there. Jazz (Howard) has a '96 1500-C2 (still a Vulcan 88), and I think Toa (Alan) had a 750 at one time. They're both over on the North Island in Kiwi Land. Both great guys. And then there's fart, but he's a story unto himself; once you've read one of his ramblings, you'll never forget 'im! <g>

Kool. If nobody Down Under has one, or knows of one, you can always post the queston to the main board; Local.VROC.Techtalk, at the top of the list under Newsgroups. Someone somewhere will prolly come up with something.
