Wtb original jets

Anyone want to sell or wanna donate the original jets from the carbs? I wanna test a theory. I have 142/42 in there now. Wondering if it's just flooding all the time.

I don't think 142/42 will cause the issues you're having, they're not that drastically different. People have ran with up to 150 mains. /shrug

flooding due to bad float needle possibly? check your float levels and run seafoam though them.
Are the jets the same size on the front and back carbs?
I would think they might be different for many bikes, but each bike is set differently.

Thought they were the same for both carbs. Haha. Yea I'm gonna run sea foam through them and oil up the filters. Just having a little cash flow problem at the moment.

No earshave yet?

The big jets could possibly be the problem.

A couple of members here (gibbo and Goofyfoot) went straight to the big jets for their earshave and finally had to put stock jets back in to straighten it out. It was way too rich. So with no earshave, you definitely don't need the big jets.

I have the earshave and stock pipes with stock jets, it runs great. Several of us have proven this works just fine, with no lean mixture problems.

It's really not automatic to use larger jets on the earshave. Larger jets are usually only needed when the exhaust is opened up, and this is common practice for almost any engine.

Yea I have the ear shave done. Followed someone's step by step. Can't seem to find my old jets to test if it runs better with them. Don't know why I would of thrown them out but I guess I did.
