Parts for Sale- Selling my bike

After 5 years and approx. 65,000 miles my trusty Vulcan has developed a bad lower end knock. I took it to a trusted shop and was told that it was only a matter of time before it would come apart inside (had metal debris in my oil changes too).

Being my daily driver, I couldn't afford the down time to pull the motor and repair, so I got a 2009 Kawa Versys- love it.

So- I'm selling off a few accessories, and then will take the bike to the local Bike Salvage yard to see what they'll give me for it.

A Few questions- those who have parted out bikes on this site- is it worth the time and trouble?

I'll know I'll be selling the below before I do anything else. Make me a FAIR offer and I'll send it to you.

Floorboards- made of diamond plate aluminum- patterned after some we've seen on this site- don't remember who.

Sissybar for passenger- has built in brake light- you'll need to wire it to your bike.

Backrest- Protac backrest- includes back rest and mounting points

Clear wind screen- a few minor scratches here and there- nothing major and nothing that take away from visibility.

That's it. If it's worth the time and money- I'll slowly part it out- otherwise I'm taking it to the salvage yard.

Any thoughts?

PM me if interested in the accessories I've listed above. If parting out makes sense, I'll repost a fresh thread

Thanks for the interest everyone. I'll get pictures up by the end of the weekend. I'm glad there is interest. If enough interest, I may just part this thing out- it's a shame though, great shape other than the motor. Anyone need a project and want the whole bike?

If you weren't on the other side of the country and I had cash I'd snap it up.
