Parting out 1998 VN750

She died on me last fall, and I spent the winter taking her apart. After getting her completely disassembled and the case split I found that the bearings on the crank shaft had gone bad. I was told that the crankshaft connecting rods need replaced and the crankshaft needs polished. I don't currently have the time or money to put into it and was looking to see if anyone had any interest in buy parts or purchasing whole. I am currently testing the water, because I may post it on craigslist locally and see if anyone was interested in purchasing whole, or there is a local shop that purchases bikes that don't run. PM with what you are looking for and what you think is a fair price.

Garage
a photo of the bike would be very helpful.
I might be interested in a few items such as the tank.

How about the stock mufflers? Just purchased an 02 and the previous owners took them off and replaced with short down pipes.
