Need a project bike - anyone near MD have one 4 sale?

I think this website has created a monster... I now want to work on my bike, all the time, and there's nothing broken on it that needs fixing. I can lube my cables this weekend, but that's it. So now I'm all dressed up with tools, and don't have anywhere to use 'em.

Anybody in the MD/WV/VA area with an "extra" bike for sale? Or is this why everyone starts putting mods on their bikes? (And if so, where should I start??!?!?)

Do you have a volt gauge yet? If ya don't, then do what I did. It requires removing the dash and drilling a hole. It's not much, but you get to fondle bike parts.

2000 A16
Drilled baffles
$65 leather saddle bags
Kuryaken grips
relocated R/R
de-badged

No, I don't! Do tell! I'm assuming this is just measuring battery voltage to make sure the system's charging properly (or not overtaxed) - is there something in the Verses I should check?

I live in Chesapeake Beach, MD and while my 1990 Vulcan 750 has treated me good, I think I'm ready for a new ride. It's in excellent shape, NEVER (knock on wood, of course) dropped with 14K on it. It started idling rough this summer so I removed and cleaned the carbs and she's purring like new again. If you're interested, let me know.

Thinking about selling my 85 VN700 to get a newer VN750. Its been thoroughly reworked, but still needs alot of TLC. All new parts including V&H Cruzers, new (not on the bike yet) Metzlers, windshield, leather bags, all new cables, etc etc. I just have not had the time to finish her up. Ridable as is, but still needs a couple of good weekends of elbow grease time.

Not completely sure I want to let her go though. I had her down to the frame to make sure everything was done right and I have a strong kinship with her.
