Looking for a Tach/temp gauge

Hello All, I'm trying to get ny temp gauge working and it appears the tach is a sealed unit. Does any one have they'd be willing to part with? I'd also be interested in a solo bar mount gauge if someone has one. Thanks for looking.

Hey, sorry this doesn't have to do with the gauge at all, but... are you by any chance located in Yuma, Arizona? Just wondering because of your name.

Have you tested the gauge and sending unit separately to determine for sure which is faulty?

There is a testing procedure in my Clymers manual on page 336 for the gauge.

Remove the tank and right side neck cover.
Disconnect the yellow wiring connector from the thermostat housing.
Turn ignition switch ON. Gauge should read "C".
Attach short jumper wire to wiring connector and momentarily touch jumper wire to a good ground like the thermostat housing. Gauge should now read "H". Disconnect jumper wire immediately. Gauge should read "C" again.

Got to run right now. Will check back tonight to see if this helped.

I have a tach, looks like new. PM me and I'll send you pics if you're interested.

I did test the wiring and it's good. Put in a new sensor on a whim and still no joy. So here I am. Thanks for asking.

Cool, I live in San Luis, just a tiny bit south from you. I'm on the Mexican side of the border though.

How's $40 shipped. Looks great, no rust on it whatsoever. I believe you'll need to use the wiring from yours for the lights.

Do you get over to this side much? I bummed that the "good " riding weather is almost gone. I do ride pretty much year round. I wanted to get my temp gauge working since I'm not carpooling any longer and I'll be back to two wheeling into work as soon as my starter switch comes in.
